Saquon Barkley’s daughter savagely trolls New York Giants after joining Philadelphia Eagles

Many eyes were on Saquon Barkley as NFL free agency approached. The No. 2 overall pick of the 2018 NFL Draft seemed likely to depart the New York Giants after six seasons, but the thought of him joining a rival like the Philadelphia Eagles? That might have caught the Giants by surprise too, as it did many others.

Yet, once free agency opened, the Eagles stepped up with the best offer, a three-year, $37.7 million contract, including $26M guaranteed. Obviously, the Giants weren’t willing to cough up that much for the two-time Pro Bowl running back, but the Eagles were.

Now Barkley is the starting running back on a team that already features one of the best dual-threat quarterbacks in the NFL. More importantly, as his daughter hints at here, he’s now joining a team that has had a lot more recent success in the win column than the Giants.

  • New York Giants’ Win-loss record with Saquon Barkley: 25-48-1 (34-64-1)
  • Philadelphia Eagles’ Win-loss record since 2018: 56-42-1

The stats back up Barkley’s daughter’s intuition. Whether the former Penn State star’s arrival can help the Eagles win even more remains to be seen. Meanwhile, the starting running back duties are up to Devin Singletary, whom Brian Daboll is familiar with from their three seasons together in Buffalo.

Singletary inked a three-year, $16.5 million contract with the Giants, which included a $9.5 million guaranteed. Now set to wear No. 26, it appears he’ll try to replace Barkley in more ways than one in the Big Apple.
