A few famous sports faces served as plus-ones on a Hollywood red carpet Sunday night. MLB shortstop and outfielder Cole Tucker and NFL quarterback Russell Wilson attended the Oscars on the arms of their entertainment industry wives, Vanessa Hudgens and Ciara.
Ciara posted a picture of the pair attending the Oscars on Instagram with the caption “went home with my own award,” which prompted Wilson to respond by praising his wife’s outfit. “Dress like that again…dare u…Cinco coming shortly after,” he commented, insinuating the couple would soon become pregnant with their fifth child. The 36-year-old has been married to singer Ciara since 2016, and the couple share four children. The oldest is Ciara’s son from her previous relationship with rapper Future.
The Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback also pulled off an outfit change on Oscar Sunday.
Tucker, who is a free agent, attended the Oscars with Hudgens for the first time since the couple were married and became parents.
The 28-year-old has been in a relationship with Hudgens since 2020, and the pair got married in Tulum, Mexico, in December 2023. Over his baseball career, Tucker has spent time with the Los Angeles Angels, Arizona Diamondbacks, Pittsburgh Pirates and Colorado Rockies organizations. The Angels designated Tucker for assignment last June.
Hudgens gushed about her wedding in an interview with Vogue in December 2023, a few days after the couple tied the knot. “I couldn’t have dreamt it to be any better,” she told the outlet. “I knew it was going to be magical, but it exceeded my expectations.”

Tucker and Hudgens are no strangers to big moments on the Oscars red carpet: Hudgens revealed her pregnancy at the 2023 festivities.
