Rob Gronkowski made huge news on Sunday when he announced his retirement from the NFL in a heartfelt Instagram post, but could he make a comeback at some point?

According to Peter King of NBC Sports, Gronk’s agent Drew Rosenhaus “said it wouldn’t shock him if Gronkowski decided to come back sometime in 2019.”

Additionally, he doubled down on ESPN’s “Get Up.”

For what it’s worth, Gronk had already signed on with a movie and television production company before Super Bowl LIII, per Mike Garafolo of NFL Network.

We also know that Gronkowski had been pondering retirement for at least a full year before he ultimately made the call to hang up his cleats.

So, at least for now, it seems like he’s set on moving on with his life outside of football. Yet it’s pretty telling that his agent is opening wondering if Gronk, who is already a shoo-in Hall of Famer, will get the itch to return to the game within this calendar year.
