The New England Patriots finally got tight end Rob Gronkowski back on the practice field Saturday for the first time since his concussion in the AFC Championship Game.

On Friday, the Patriots revealed Gronkowski would not be able to play if the Super Bowl had been held this weekend. Thankfully for him and the team, it won’t take place until next weekend. New England has reportedly been very optimistic Gronkowski will be able to suit up in the big game.
He’s yet to be fully cleared for contact. However, that he’s back on the practice field over a week in advance of the championship game is very encouraging news, indeed.
Of course, we all know how valuable Gronk is to New England’s offense. He’s one of the most unstoppable offensive weapons in the league. This past year, he caught 69 passes (making himself giggle uncontrollably, we’re sure) for 1.084 yards and eight touchdowns.
