Report: Rob Gronkowski in good spirits, Patriots optimistic he’ll play in Super Bowl LII

Rob Gronkowski

With 12 days until Super Bowl LII, the New England Patriots are optimistic that tight end Rob Gronkowski (concussion) will be able to play.

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the tight end is in “good spirits” following last week’s helmet-to-helmet hit by Jacksonville Jaguars safety Barry Church.

Gronk was drilled hard in the head and departed last week’s AFC Championship Game during the second quarter. Fortunately for the Patriots, they have more than the standard one week between games for Gronkowksi to regain his full health.

We will be able to provide more updates on Gronk’s progress once the Patriots resume their practice sessions.
