The Las Vegas Raiders are expected to hire former Chicago Bears offensive coordinator Luke Getsy to that same role, multiple outlets reported.
The Bears fired Getsy, 39, last month.
ESPN reported Sunday that Getsy was one of at least five coaches interviewed, including UCLA head coach Chip Kelly and former Arizona Cardinals coach Kliff Kingbury, who withdrew his candidacy and could wind up on the staff of the Washington Commanders.
Antonio Pierce, named the permanent head coach of the Raiders after an interim stint, said he is looking to upgrade the offense from the 19.5 points the Raiders averaged in 2023. The Raiders were 27th in the NFL last season in overall offense, averaging 289.5 yards per game.
The Bears offense averaged 21.2 points per game under Getsy.
