The Seattle Seahawks are doing some work right now to change the shape of their roster. While rumors about Richard Sherman permeate the Internet, Michael Bennett has reportedly been traded to the Philadelphia Eagles.
I'm told DE Michael Bennett is going to be traded to the Philadelphia #Eagles.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports he’s being exchanged, along with a seventh-round pick, for a fifth-round pick and receiver Marcus Johnson.
Here it goes: Seahawks are trading DE Michael Bennett and a seventh-round pick to Eagles for a fifth-round pick and WR Marcus Johnson, sources tell ESPN.

Due to make just under $8.4 million this year, Bennett was a bit too expensive for the cap-strapped Seahawks to retain. Especially because they’d love to bring back Sheldon Richardson as a free agent this spring.
Still, this is veritable highway robbery by Philly. Bennett is still a highly effective pass rusher who can play all over the line. He started all 16 games last year and racked up 8.5 sacks. Add him to the already stacked defensive line they have in Philadelphia and it’s a scary proposition for the rest of the league.
