Report: Rams making No. 23 overall pick available in potential Odell Beckham trade

Odell Beckham Jr. is one of many NFL players who has a lot to prove in a contract year

The Los Angeles Rams are reportedly getting extremely aggressive about a potential Odell Beckham trade, making the No. 23 overall pick available to the New York Giants.

As Ian Rapoport of NFL Media noted, it isn’t clear whether the Giants actually would trade him. ESPN’s Adam Schefter said the Giants are listening to offers for the receiver during an appearance on “Golic and Wingo” Tuesday morning.

On Tuesday, Giants general manager Dave Gettleman expressed serious frustration about all the trade rumors swirling around his star receiver, with one reporter saying he was “livid.”

That said, all this started after co-owner John Mara basically came out and said Beckham isn’t immune to being traded.

Back to the Rams, the reported offer of the first-round pick in this year’s draft falls in line with what the Giants have been reportedly seeking (at the least) in any potential trade for the star receiver. Furthermore, even though he wasn’t allowed to express interest in Beckham, Rams coach Sean McVay did everything but that on Tuesday when he was asked about the situation.

Things are getting pretty darn spicy right now on this front.
