Report: Mets’ 3B Todd Frazier drawing minimal trade interest

As the New York Mets approach the final week leading up to the trade deadline as “committed sellers”, at least one of New York’s players on the block is drawing minimal interest from across the league.

According to Andy Martino of SportsNet New York, third baseman Todd Frazier is drawing the least amount of interest among the players available and is now likely to remain with the club.

It doesn’t come as much of a surprise to see the lack of interest in Frazier. The 33-year-old is having one of the worst seasons in his career defensively at third base and things are even worse at the plate.

Frazier entered Thursday with a .240/.320/..430 slash line in 77 games and has tanked his value even more by batting .167/..242/.317 with a .559 OPS in July.

If the Mets want to improve their future and strengthen a depleted farm system, the team is going to have to move bigger names in the coming days.
