Report: Kyler Murray is player scouts are ‘most excited about’

Kyler Murray is one of the biggest wild cards of the 2019 NFL Draft. His talent is undeniable, but there are some issues that could be problematic.

Despite that, Bleacher Report’s Matt Miller wrote in his latest mock draft that Murray is creating more buzz than any other player in the draft.

“The player that NFL scouts continue to be the most excited about is Oklahoma’s Kyler Murray,” Miller wrote. “He isn’t a sure thing, but the buzz surrounding him is unlike anything I’ve heard in a long time.”

Anyone who watched Murray play for any real amount of time last year while he played at Oklahoma knows why this young man has scouts drooling. He’s a dual-threat passer who is downright deadly on the ground and has a tremendous arm.

However, he also has a contract with the Oakland Athletics. And recently, he very awkwardly dodged questions about what he’s going to do in the near future, despite having declared for the 2019 NFL Draft.

On top of that, there is a potential red flag in that of Murray’s father, who has drawn comparisons to LaVar Ball.

Talent is alluring. It’s almost guaranteed that Murray will go in the first round if he does end up staying on the football path through the end of April. What his future holds, however, is still very much up in the air.
