Report: Knicks make former LeBron James agent Leon Rose President of Basketball Operations

The New York Knicks will reportedly turn to agent Leon Rose to replace Steve Mills as the President of Basketball Operations, as first reported by Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Rose was famously LeBron James’ agent from 2005-12, and he has represented numerous top NBA stars in the past.

ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski confirmed the report and added some analysis, noting the Knicks appear to be “adopting a model that has gained popularity” with the Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors spearheading the movement.

The Knicks were reportedly also interested in B.J. Armstrong, the three-time champ who turned agent, among other agents, for the position.
