Joel Embiid injury

Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid is reportedly evaluating his treatment options after tearing a ligament in his left hand on Monday.

Shams Charania of The Athletic shared this news on Twitter.

David Murphy of the Philadelphia Daily News shared the specific injury, noting it’s a torn radial collateral ligament in Embiid’s fourth metacarpal in his left hand.

Embiid hurt his hand on Monday when he got his finger caught in the jersey of Steven Adams. The initial injury was gruesome, so it’s not surprising to hear he’s dealing with a torn ligament.

He was already ruled out of Thursday’s game, and at this point it sounds like he could miss extended time with this hand injury.

Through 31 games this season, Embiid has averaged 23.4 points, 12.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.4 blocks per game.
