Sixers star Joel Embiid suffers gruesome dislocated finger

Joel Embiid injury

This is pretty much the last thing that the Philadelphia 76ers and their fans wanted to see Monday night against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Star center Joel Embiid exited the game in the first quarter. He went directly to the locker room with the All-Star’s left hand seeming to be a problem.

By the looks of it, Embiid suffered a dislocated finger. It’s not pretty.

This normally wouldn’t be a big deal. That’s until we realize the game’s most-skilled center has been injury-plagued throughout his career.

In addition to missing each of his first two seasons to injury, Embiid sat out a combined 88 games in the three years leading up to the 2019-20 campaign.

We’ll obviously have more on this story as it develops.
