Report: Dale Earnhardt Jr. signs new NASCAR broadcast deal

The Hall of Famer will resume calling races in 2025.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. is taking his NASCAR broadcasting talents to Amazon Prime Video and Warner Bros. Discovery Sports starting in 2025 according to a report in The Athletic.

The sanctioning body inked a new $7.7 billion combined broadcast rights agreement that begins next year with NBC, FOX, Amazon and Warner Bros. Discovery. Earnhardt revealed last month that his contract with NBC had expired at the end of 2023 and that he was working towards his future.

Earnhardt has called races on NBC since 2018 alongside play-by-play voice Rick Allen and fellow driver turned analyst Jeff Burton.

Earnhardt is expected to take this season off his broadcast duties before returning to the commentary booth in the summer of 2025 for the 10-race stretch that Amazon and Warner Discovery holds the rights to.  

Earnhardt also owns an operates a media production and content company, Dirty Mo Media, which had placed programming on NBC during his tenure with the network.
