The Los Angeles Rams and general manager Les Snead are not messing around. Earlier on Thursday, the team signed former Green Bay Packers cornerback Sam Shields. That came on the heels of Los Angeles landing Pro Bowl cornerback Marcus Peters in a trade with the Kansas City Chiefs.

Apparently, adding two starter-caliber cornerbacks isn’t enough for this up-and-coming team. According to NFL Media’s James Palmer, Los Angeles has acquired five-time Pro Bowl cornerback Aqib Talib from the Denver Broncos.

Talib, 32, had been bandied about as trade bait for some time now. Recent reports suggested that both the New England Patriots and San Francisco 49ers were engaged in trade talks with the Broncos for his services.

By adding the Pro Bowler to the mix, these Rams are showing themselves to be a true juggernaut in the NFC West. It’s really going to be tough sledding for Russell Wilson, Jimmy Garoppolo and Co. in the division next season.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Broncos will receive a 2018 fifth-round pick in exchange for Talib.
