Odell Beckham Jr. made headlines last week when he took shots at the New York Giants in an ESPN interview, questioning the team’s heart and criticizing the offensive scheme.
During the interview, he seemingly took veiled shots at Eli Manning and head coach Pat Shurmur with comments like, “I feel like I’m being out-schemed” and “How come we can’t throw the ball for more than 20 yards?”
Beckham also said, “I don’t think I’m given an opportunity to be the very best I can be. I don’t want to be held back anymore.”
And when he was asked if the Giants have a problem at quarterback, he responded by saying, “Uh, I don’t know.”
Needless to say, the interview stirred up a ton of national interest. One of the people who has chimed in on it all is Hall of Fame wide receiver Randy Moss, who chastised Beckham for his comments.

When Randy Moss is calling you out over sending a bad message, it might be time to listen up.
It’s worth pointing out that it only took four games for Beckham to ghost the choir boy act that he put on this summer to get his record-breaking long-term deal with the Giants.
It’s hard to believe that these comments are going over well within the organization, and one wonders if some buyer’s remorse might be creeping in. We already know Pat Shurmur laid into OBJ over this interview.
At the same time it’s easy to understand why Beckham is frustrated, too.
While he’s caught a respectable 31 passes this year, he’s yet to catch a touchdown, and his 10.7 yards per catch average is the lowest of his career. Meanwhile, the Giants are 1-3.
It’s going to be interesting to see what kind of impact these comments, along with any other comments made by Beckham if things continue going south for Big Blue, have on the organization as a whole.
