Philadelphia Flyers’ Nicolas Aube-Kubel fined by NHL for kneeing

Philadelphia Flyers forward Nicolas Aube-Kubel has been fined $2,687.50 for kneeing Florida Panthers forward Mason Marchment during Saturday’s game.

The fine, which was announced Sunday morning, is the maximum amount allowable under the league’s collective bargaining agreement.

Aube-Kubel was assessed a minor penalty for tripping Marchment at 3:52 of the third period. The Panthers (5-0-0) remained undefeated on the season following their 4-2 victory over Flyers.

Aube-Kubel, 25, has yet to record a point in four games this season. He has 27 points (10 goals, 17 assists) in 99 career games since being selected by Philadelphia in the second round of the 2014 NHL Draft.
