As it has been suggested by many a reporter recently, Kam Chancellor will not play again for the Seattle Seahawks in 2017.

Head coach Pete Carroll confirmed Chancellor, who has a neck injury, will miss the rest of the season.

When asked if Chancellor will ever play again, Carroll’s answer was a bit cryptic.

This seems to back up reports that suggested Chancellor’s injury is potentially career-threatening.

In nine games this year, Chancellor tallied 49 tackles, one forced fumble and one safety. He’s been the enforcer in the middle of Seattle’s defense for more than seven years, winning a Super Bowl, tallying four Pro Bowl bids while being named to two Second-team All-Pro squads.

We wish Chancellor well as he recovers from the injury and ponders his future in the NFL.
