Now 35 years old, Patrick Beverley has had a well-traveled basketball career, which even includes playing overseas in Ukraine, Greece, and Russia. But ever since catching on in the G-League with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, which led to an opportunity with the Houston Rockets, Pat Bev has been hard to forget.

Beverley has played for six different teams, and now, after being traded to the Milwaukee Bucks, he’s joined his seventh NBA organization. But he’s joining at the perfect time for a team that came into Friday with a 1-5 record since Doc Rivers took over.
Patrick Beverley celebrates first Milwaukee Bucks win with a brew
It didn’t take long for Patrick Beverley to make an impact with the Milwaukee Bucks. Before he had even checked into the game for the first time with his new team, Beverley had already taken over the team huddle, and began instructing Bucks center Brook Lopez with drawn out instructions on a clipboard.

That’s classic Beverley, but somehow it got better.
Not only did Beverley chip in six points in his Bucks debut after sinking 2-of-3 shots from 3-point range, he also contributed four assists in just 12 minutes off the bench, helping Milwaukee crush Charlotte 120-84.
But the real gold happened after the game when Beverley essentially became ‘one of us’ when he cracked open a Miller Lite when answering questions at the podium. Miller Lite is the official beer sponsor of the Bucks, Brewers, and Green Bay Packers, so he likely wasn’t the only one in Wisconsin enjoying a brew after an invigorating win.

Funnily enough, it’s not Beverley’s first time doing this either, but he says it only occurs “after a win.”

The Bucks hope Beverley continues to have several more reasons to enjoy a post-game celebration all the way through to the NBA Finals as he continues to chase his first ring.
