Panthers QB Taylor Heinicke shares gnarly post-surgery pic

Carolina Panthers backup quarterback Taylor Heinicke got his first NFL start in Week after the team shelved Cam Newton for the rest of the season. It proved to be his only start, as during that game he suffered a left triceps injury.

Recently, Heinicke underwent surgery to repair a partially torn triceps, per Joe Person of The Athletic.

On Monday, Heinicke shared a picture of the post-surgery wound, which has been stapled back together.

Pretty gnarly, indeed. Though, it’s not quite as gnarly as what his teammate Thomas Davis  once shared after playing through a broken arm, which was quite a sight.
