The Las Vegas Raiders are set to open up their new stadium right off the strip this coming August as the team relocates from Northern California.

Meanwhile, the new Southern California stadium that’s set to house the Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Chargers has already delayed its opening. SoFi Stadium was set to open last season. Weather conditions and other factors led to a delay.

It’s now an open question whether the venue will even be ready for the 2020 season. Those responsible for erecting SoFi Stadium announced on Friday that Taylor Swift’s concert, slated for July 25 and 26, will be postponed to a later date due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic plaguing the United States.

This is not necessarily a surprise given that California Governor Gavin Newsom has noted in the recent past that mass gatherings such as sporting events and concerts will be among the last things up and running in the state.

Meanwhile, multiple workers at the sight of SoFI Stadium have tested positive for COVID-19. This could potentially lead to them shutting down operations altogether.
