The Athletic ($) : After an impressive showing in the Prospects Challenge, Devils’ forward prospect Shane LaChance is getting exciting buzz. The former BU Terrier brings a desperately needed blend of size and skill that might even fit in the Devils’ bottom six as soon as this season. NJ director of player development Meghan Duggan had plenty of praise for LaChance’s performance this weekend in Buffalo, describing him as “Big, strong, competitive, smart, great with the puck, involved in everything.” Read more about LaChance HERE.

Worst Seats in The House Podcast: For Devils fans hoping for a potential future sweepstakes involving Winnipeg Jets superstar winger Kyle Connor, those dreams had some water poured on them yesterday. The Athletic’s Michael Russo reported on his podcast, Worst Seats in The House, that Connor is looking to extend North of the Border. I, for one, am very curious what those numbers could look like, especially with Kirill Kaprizov reportedly turning down an 8×16 from the Wild.

Chicago Hockey Now: Veteran defenseman Matt Grzelcyk has reportedly landed in the Windy City for a PTO with the Chicago Blackhawks.
