NJHN: There were plenty of news bombs during yesterday’s Tom Fitzgerald/Sheldon Keefe joint presser, but arguably the biggest being the reveal from Fitzgerald that he has been in talks with goaltender Jacob Markstrom’s camp regarding an extension.
SportsNet: Elliotte Friedman debunked a rumor on 32 Thoughts that the Devils and RFA defenseman Luke Hughes had settled on term at six years, but Fitzgerald confirmed that the two sides continue to grind away on a “long-term deal” yesterday.
