NHL: Vegas Golden Knights at New Jersey Devils

The New Jersey Devils, now 16-10-1 after a shutout loss to the Dallas Stars on Wednesday, close out their homestand at Prudential Center against the Vegas Golden Knights, who stand at 12-6-8 with a 5-2-4 road record. In gambling terms, it’s time for a cooler change to reverse the Devils’ recent fortunes.

Carter Hart made his return to the NHL earlier this week, and there’s a chance the Devils face him for the first time in a few years tonight.

Nico Hischier (10g, 15a) and Timo Meier (10g, 12a) continue to find the scoresheet for the Devils, while the rest of the roster has cooled sine Jack Hughes went down with injury.

To make matters worse, the goaltending has been below average. They’ll need to turn the dial up a notch with Vegas in town.
