For the most part, the New Jersey Devils in Milan have seen a fair amount of success. Among them, Jack Hughes is standing out above all, but Simon Nemec is a close second.

Regardless, Hughes is getting his (well-earned) flowers standing out among USA’s stars. He’s still yet to face his toughest test with Germany in front of the U.S. later today. However, it’s an encouraging sign that the Devils star is building confidence.

New Jersey Hockey Now: Jacob Markstrom played well for Team Sweden in their third and final matchup of the preliminary round against Slovakia. However, his late blunder had implications on Sweden’s seeding despite the win.

As it turns out, the outcome for Sweden would have been the same either way. They scored 11 goals against Italy, which actually allowed Simon Nemec and Slovakia to win their group. now, Sweden has a play-in to the final rounds of the Men’s ice hockey Olympic tournament. Here’s yesterday’s scores:
