Before the New Jersey Devils (27-23-2) host the Winnipeg Jets (20-24-7) at the Prudential Center tonight, they will honor John MacLean by inducting him into the Ring of Honor.

Per the Devils, “John MacLean, 1995 Stanley Cup Champion as a player and 2003 Stanley Cup Champion as an assistant coach, will be inducted into the Devils Ring of Honor presented by Citizens during a pregame ceremony on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, when the team hosts the Winnipeg Jets.

“MacLean will be honored during the on-ice ceremony with his wife, Adrienne, and two sons, Kyle and John Carter. The ceremony will feature a tribute video showcasing highlights of his career, special acknowledgments, and gifting, with more video storytelling featured throughout the game.

“All fans in attendance will receive a limited-edition Ring of Honor commemorative pin courtesy of Citizens. Fans are asked to be in their seats by 6:45 PM for the start of the ceremony.

“Ceremony begins at 7:06pm. Devils alumni will be introduced, and a tribute video will play, followed by gifting, speeches, and a display reveal.”

When the puck drops shortly after, a crucial two points are at stake against the 30th-ranked Jets, who are 5-3-2 in their last 10 games.

The Devils—who are five points from playoff position in the Metropolitan Division—are pushing to make the playoffs. They’ve won five of their last seven and can ill afford to leave points on the table to bottom dwellers.

Let’s dive into tonight’s matchup.
