If you’re reading the daily, that probably means one of two things. You’re either a fan of my work, or you’re a hardcore New Jersey Devils and/or hockey fan. Either way, thank you for being here.
It’s funny, this is where I can get more personal and connect with the fans, as opposed to a hard hitting analysis piece after a game or something. Lately, I’ve been objective with my opinion on Jack Hughes. And, of course, I fully stand by what my thoughts and feelings are on the season, and his reliability leading up to this point.
However, that doesn’t mean I’m rooting against the guy. Heck, I’m a fan of Team USA, too. I want to see him succeed.
The fact of the matter is whether you like it or not, I will always cover the team I do from an objective standpoint. Not from bias, fan bias, or anyone else’s bias. These are my thoughts and opinions alone. Plus, that’s the job. Explain the bad when it’s bad, and the good when it’s good.

New Jersey Hockey Now: Now that every Devil has participated in a game in Milan, which of the seven Devils has the most to gain and the most to lose during the Olympics?
As for Jack Hughes, he got off to a good start in his Olympic debut. Nevermind that it was a game against Latvia. It’s the start all Devils fans should be relieved to see from him. However, it must continue past the preliminary rounds. Oh, and he had a fun comment on playing with his older brother, Quinn.
It was another good day for Devils at the Olympics. Jack and Team USA scored the 5-1 victory over Latvia, while Nico Hischier, Timo Meier, and Switzerland shutout France 4-0. Meier tallied two goals.
