It’s not like this across the board, but the latest NHL trade board which is filled with big names was void one of the two New Jersey Devils defensemen we’ve been talking about in possible trade scenarios.

Chris Johnston supported Dougie Hamilton’s absense from the latest NHL trade board by explaining on his podcast that with Sunny Mehta in the GM chair, moving the veteran defenseman is less likely.

It’s an interesting development given Hamilton remained silent even after Tom Fitzgerald was fired. However, other insiders have Hamilton’s name in the rumor mill, so we’ll see how things shake out.
