Test on Marvin Lewis reveals cyst, not blood clot

It was announced on Tuesday that Cincinnati Bengals coach Marvin Lewis would be away from the team with a medical issue. Stacey Dales of the NFL Network and CBS later reported good news, that Lewis has a Baker’s Cyst, rather than a blood clot.

At this point, there is no update on how soon Lewis will return to the sideline. The initial report did say that he hopes to return as soon as possible.

The Bengals, meanwhile, are prepping for Friday’s preseason opener — a home game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
