After selecting quarterback Kyler Murray with the No.1 pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, the Arizona Cardinals may have already found a potential home for 2018 first-round pick Josh Rosen.
The Landing Spot: According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Miami Dolphins are reportedly emerging as the lone suitor for Josh Rosen as of Friday.
- The Cardinals and Dolphins started engaging more seriously in trade talks involving Rosen during the draft on Thursday night and on Friday morning.
- Arizona is reportedly targeting a second-round pick in return for Rosen, though Miami is pushing to give up less than that.
Draft Night Trade: The Dolphins currently hold the No. 48 overall pick, which could be sent to Arizona during the draft if both sides agree to a deal.
- The Cardinals are reportedly targeting cornerback Byron Murphy with the No. 33 pick.
- If Arizona lands Miami’s second-round pick, it could use it to address the offensive line or add a wide receiver.
It’s still early in the day and while Miami is reportedly the main competitor for Rosen, a team like the New England Patriots or Los Angeles Chargers could emerge if the price is right for them during the draft.
