After seeing their offense slip from one that scored 27.2 points per game (PPG) in their Super Bowl season down to 22.3 PPG in 2025, the Philadelphia Eagles demoted offensive coordinator/playcaller Kevin Patullo. The Eagles have since hired former NFL quarterback Sean Mannion as Nick Sirianni’s new offensive coordinator/playcaller.

Yet, after hiring Mannion, the Eagles still weren’t done making changes to their coaching staff. On Monday, they added another former NFL player to coach Sirianni’s 2026 staff.

According to the NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, the Eagles have hired former Vikings offensive line coach Chris Kuper to the same role in Philadelphia. Kuper worked with Mannion in 2023 when the QB was a member of the Vikings.

Like Mannion, Kuper is also a former NFL player, though he spent eight seasons playing offensive guard, starting 79 of his 90 appearances with the Broncos. The 43-year-old Alaska native has been coaching offensive linemen in various roles with the Dolphins and Broncos since 2016, including the past four seasons as the offensive line coach with the Vikings.

However, after being disappointed with the overall performance of their offensive line, the Vikings moved on from Kuper at the conclusion of the 2025 season. Now, he’ll get a chance to work with another talented group in Philadelphia, led by All-Pro tackles Jordan Mailata and Lane Johnson.
