The 2025 NFL trade deadline is just a few days away (Tuesday, Nov. 4), and we’ve already seen quite a few playoff contenders make moves to improve their depth. However, the top NFL trade candidates are still available, and there are a few Super Bowl contenders who could make a splash in the next few days.

Let’s dive into the five NFL trades we’d love to see.

Buffalo Bills Trade for Rashid Shaheed

In a perfect world, the Buffalo Bills would come out of the NFL trade deadline with a No. 1 receiver. Unfortunately for Josh Allen, those simply aren’t available. With the New Orleans Saints keeping Chris Olave and the Philadelphia Eagles hanging onto A.J. Brown, a deal for a field-stretcher is the best alternative. Rashid Shaheed would provide what Buffalo needs.

  • Buffalo Bills trade: 2026 fourth-round pick
  • New Orleans Saints trade: Rashid Shaheed, 2026 sixth-round pick

It hasn’t been the best contract year for Shaheed, who entered Week 9 with 431 receiving yards on 57 targets in eight games. However, he could thrive playing in the Bills’ offense and would provide Allen with a bona fide field-stretcher. In 2024, Shaheed had the highest deep target share (57.1 percent) in the NFL and posted the third-highest average depth of target (17.6 yards) among wide receivers. He could be a better version of what Allen had in Gabe Davis’ best years in Buffalo.

Green Bay Packers Acquire Seattle Seahawks’ CB Riq Woolen

With Devon Witherspoon returning to the field in Week 9, cornerback Riq Woolen becomes expendable for the Seattle Seahawks. The former Pro Bowl selection has been prominent in NFL trade rumors this season, but the assumption around the league was that he’d only be available if the Seahawks had a healthy secondary. Coming off the bye, Seattle is in that exact situation and can flip Woolen to a team in need while addressing one of its own weaknesses.

  • Seattle Seahawks trade: Riq Woolen
  • Green Bay Packers trade: Dontayvion Wicks

A Dontayvion Wicks–Riq Woolen trade helps out both the Seahawks and Green Bay Packers. Seattle picks up some much-needed depth at wide receiver, with Wicks landing a new opportunity in an offense that has a bit of a hole at its No. 3 receiver spot. Another benefit for Seattle is that Wicks is under contract next season. As for Green Bay, the promising wideout becomes expendable thanks to the depth of a receiving corps that justifies making this move.

Detroit Lions Add Veteran Edge Rusher Cameron Jordan

The Cincinnati Bengals aren’t moving Trey Hendrickson and even if edge rusher Myles Garrett were available, the Detroit Lions can’t really afford to take on his contract. Instead, Dan Campbell and Brad Holmes can swing a deal for veteran Saints edge rusher Cameron Jordan.

  • New Orleans Saints trade: Cameron Jordan
  • Detroit Lions trade: 2026 fifth-round pick

Jordan, age 36, is in the last year of his contract. He’s spent his entire career in New Orleans, but this season might be his last chance to try and win a Super Bowl. He could take on a rotational role in Detroit, strengthening a defensive line that ranks 31st in ESPN run-stop win rate (25 percent) while having the benefit of playing on the opposite side of Aidan Hutchinson.

One of the challenges for Super Bowl contenders with making acquisitions ahead of the NFL trade deadline is the difficulty an incoming player faces learning a new system and adjusting. Fortunately for the Indianapolis Colts, that wouldn’t be a problem if they make a trade with the Bengals.

  • Cincinnati Bengals trade: CB Cam Taylor-Britt, LB Logan Wilson
  • Indianapolis Colts trade: 2026 fifth-round pick, 2026 seventh-round pick

Bengals linebacker Logan Wilson requested a trade after being benched by the team in favor of two rookies. More recently, the club also decided to bench Cam Taylor-Britt. Both veterans could get a second life in Indianapolis, reuniting with defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo. Taylor-Britt would provide much-needed depth for the Colts at cornerback at a time when Charvarius Ward is on IR due to a concussion. In addition, Wilson would give Anarumo an option to replace linebacker Zaire Franklin.

Kansas City Chiefs Make Splash with Jaelan Phillips Trade

The Kansas City Chiefs look like the best team in football right now, with an efficient and explosive offense that we haven’t seen from this franchise in years. However, there’s room to improve defensively and the Chiefs might be well-positioned to go all-in with a trade for Miami Dolphins edge rusher Jaelan Phillips.

  • Miami Dolphins trade: Jaelan Phillips
  • Kansas City Chiefs trade: 2026 third-round pick

In this deal, Miami gets a higher pick in the 2026 NFL Draft than it would if Phillips walks in NFL free agency this offseason and the team receives a compensatory third-round pick in 2027. As for Kansas City, it adds a top-end edge rusher who would help alleviate the decline of Chris Jones and make edge rusher George Karlaftis’ life a little easier.
