The New England Patriots are preparing to take on the Buffalo Bills in Week 5 on Sunday Night Football.
The team is looking to keep the positive momentum flowing after dominating the Carolina Panthers last week. In that game, the Patriots put up 42 points and held the Panthers to under 200 passing yards. The team will need another solid overall performance in Week 5 if they plan on stealing a division win.
Luckily, the team got some good news on the injury front Friday. Star defensive tackle Milton Williams popped up on the injury report this week and didn’t practice on Thursday. However, the defensive lineman returned to practice in a limited fashion on Friday and is officially listed as questionable for Sunday.
K’Lavon Chaisson, Jahlani Tavai, and Carlton Davis II are the other players to be listed as questionable. Other than those four, everybody on the roster should be healthy enough to play this weekend. We won’t know whether these four will play until closer to game time.
Still, it’s a good sign that nobody was ruled out for Week 5. Chaisson is the only player who didn’t practice Friday, so he’s probably the most likely one to miss the game.
Williams was one of the big offseason additions for the Patriots. The defender inked a four-year, $104-million deal with the team this offseason. So far in 2025, Williams has started in all four games for the Patriots and has nine tackles, five tackles for loss, and two sacks. Pro Football Focus gives Williams a 65.6 grade for his performance this far.
While it’s good news that Williams appears okay, it’s concerning that Chaisson couldn’t practice. The edge-rusher is second on the team with 2.5 sacks and also has nine tackles and three tackles for loss already. Without Chaisson, the team would likely turn to Keion White to start opposite Harold Landry.
