The New England Patriots are just days away from playing in Super Bowl LX against the Seattle Seahawks. Soon enough, they’ll join the fray with the rest of the league, plotting away to improve their roster and get back to the Super Bowl again next season.

While teams cannot finalize trades until the start of the new league year on March 11, players are already envisioning what it would be like to play for a top contender. That includes a Pro Bowl talent who has previously shied away from leaving his team.

According to The Athletic‘s Dianna Russini, Las Vegas Raiders superstar pass-rusher Maxx Crosby has told her that he’d like to play for coach Mike Vrabel.

“Maxx Crosby doesn’t seem too happy in Las Vegas,” Russini said. “Is he gonna ask for one (a trade) officially? I can tell you. I know he wants to play for Mike Vrabel. He’s told me before.”

Now that the Raiders are hiring yet another new head coach, perhaps Crosby wants to stick around and see if Klint Kubiak can spark a change in the right direction. It also may not hurt that the Raiders will finally be landing a potential franchise quarterback in projected No. 1 overall pick Fernando Mendoza.

Or, maybe the 28-year-old five-time Pro Bowler is ready for a fresh start after making just one postseason appearance in seven NFL seasons.
