The Las Vegas Raiders are just one of two NFL teams still searching for a head coach. The Arizona Cardinals are the other.

While the Cardinals have reached out to some unique candidates, the Raiders are casting a wide net too. Now, there’s been another addition to the Raiders’ head coaching search.

On Thursday, ESPN’s NFL insider Jeremy Fowler reported that Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak is set for an interview for the Raiders’ head coaching job later this weekend. After they’ve met with Kubiak, the Raiders will “then make a decision on their head coach.”

A fellow Raiders head coaching candidate even went so far as to say, “It’s probably Kubiak’s job to lose.”

Rumors have suggested that the Raiders would be prioritizing an offensive-minded head coach to potentially pair with possible No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, Fernando Mendoza. If so, Kubiak would be a fine fit, as he just led the Seahawks to the third-highest scoring offense this season.

Plus, unlike some of the other candidates (and potential finalists), Kubiak actually has playcalling experience. While he’s just 38 years old, Kubiak may be prepared for the next big step in his coaching ladder, one that’s already included three stints as an NFL offensive coordinator.

Kubiak has interviewed for six of the 10 NFL head coaching vacancies this offseason, including with the Cardinals. Unless Arizona beats Las Vegas to the punch, he could very well become the next head coach of the Raiders.
