Michael Vick gets classified as the new “lead dog” in Pittsburgh

Wow. It didn’t take long for Michael Vick’s name to be used in the same sentence with the word “dog.”

Vick was called to duty when the Pittsburgh Steelers lost quarterback Ben Roethlisberger to a knee injury in Sunday’s game against the St. Louis Rams. The team wound up winning in a low-scoring affair, 12-6. With Big Ben possibly sidelined up to six weeks, we’ll be seeing a lot more of Vick, whether fans like it or not.

Vick has a multitude of haters because of his past criminal offenses for running a dog-fighting ring. He has since served his jail time but will never live down his past actions in the eyes of many.
