One Carolina Panthers Pro Bowler has quickly gained a lot of respect for the talents of “cocky” rookie quarterback Bryce Young.
There is a huge amount of pressure and expectation on the shoulders of Bryce Young. It is the name of the game when you are the top overall pick in the NFL Draft and are hand-picked to be the new franchise QB for an organization in desperate need of one.

Throughout NFL history, fans have learned that when it comes to signal-callers selected near the top of the draft the results can be mixed. For every Peyton Manning and Dan Marino, there is a Ryan Leaf and Akili Smith. The biggest knock on the new Carolina Panthers QB has been his size, but few deny that he has the ability to be an impact talent at the next level.
One person who has played at an elite level in the NFL and has been thoroughly impressed by what he has seen so far from Young is new Panthers starting running back Miles Sanders. The free agent addition was a Pro Bowler in 2022 and a major part of the Philadelphia Eagles run to the Super Bowl earlier this year.
Carolina Panthers rookie Bryce Young showing veterans a ‘humble’ cockiness

During an appearance this week on the “Mac & Bone podcast,” Sanders praised Bryce Young’s mind for the game and his “lovely touch on the ball.” However, the one-time Heisman Trophy winner’s pocket presence and confidence have left a lasting impression on the former Eagles star.
“He’s cocky in a humble way. The humblest way. He knows who he is. I think we’re in good hands,” Sanders said.
The Carolina Panthers rookie is not jumping into an easy situation, however, there were already solid pieces in place after the team finished 7-10 last season. However, the organization has also given him a strong chance of early success by hiring new head coach Frank Reich and by signing Pro Bowl-caliber players on offense like Sanders, Adam Thielen, and DJ Chark.
