Some found it refreshing. Others… didn’t. Wherever you stand on the Bad Bunny Super Bowl Halftime Show, if there’s one thing that cannot be denied, it’s that it was wildly successful.
According to Roc Nation, the Bad Bunny Super Bowl LX Halftime Show had generated a whopping 4.157 billion viewers in just 24 hours. Bad Bunny’s performance set a new record as the most-watched Super Bowl Halftime Show performance of all-time.
The NFL has continued to push boundaries while expanding its business all across the globe. That continued with Roc Nation having Bad Bunny be the Super Bowl LX Halftime performer. Next year’s Super Bowl performer has yet to be announced.
As popular as Bad Bunny’s energetic performance was, there were still some who not only took issue with the idea but also made a point to create an alternate halftime show with different musical acts on a separate broadcast channel. In other words, the NFL’s decision to make Bad Bunny the featured act ruffled a lot of feathers, yet judging by its success, we’d guess that the league wouldn’t hesitate to make the same decision again.
For the record, the Turning Point USA Super Bowl Halftime Show headlined by Kid Rock generated as many as 6.4 million concurrent viewers, but there are no reports of a 24-hour viewership number to compare with Bad Bunny. However, Nielsen reported that Bad Bunny’s Halftime Show generated 128.2 million concurrent viewers.
