The Patriots are targeting Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown; however, it has to be at the right price. The asking price for Brown is high, and the Patriots have a few directions available. Does New England pounce on the opportunity to acquire a top wide receiver or wait for a trade that doesn’t require as much draft capital?
Maxx Crosby, EDGE, Las Vegas Raiders
Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby has been in trade rumors before the 2025-26 NFL season even ended. Crosby needs a change of scenery and the Patriots need an EDGE rusher to sack the quarterback. The asking price for Crosby is high, but it would be worth it to acquire an elite pass rusher.
George Pickens, WR, Dallas Cowboys
Dallas Cowboys wide receiver George Pickens might be the best trade target for the Patriots. Dallas franchise tagged Pickens; however, if the two sides don’t reach a contract extension, it could open the door for a trade. If that comes to fruition, New England should pounce on the opportunity to acquire a true number one wide receiver.
Jonathan Greenard, LB, Minnesota Vikings
The Minnesota Vikings are listening to trade offers on Jonathan Greenard, and he would be an excellent fit in New England. Last season, Greenard only had three sacks in 12 games, but he had at least 12 sacks in the previous two years. The Vikings linebacker would elevate the Patriots defense going into next season.
D.J. Moore, WR, Chicago Bears
Chicago Bears wide receiver D.J. Moore might not be on the same level as Brown and Pickens, but he would be big boost for New England. Moore wouldn’t cost as much as the top-tier wide receivers, while giving Patriots quarterback Drake Maye a number one target. Moore is 1,000-yard wide receiver and would help New England’s offense moving forward.
