Even with George Pickens being franchise tagged, there is plenty of pass-catching help available in NFL free agency. Alec Pierce is the headliner this offseason, but there is a diverse skillset of wide receivers available, with the likes of Rashid Shaheed, Romeo Doubs and Mike Evans on the market.
Let’s dive into our predictions for where the best wide receivers in 2026 NFL free agency will land. Of note, we’re excluding Tyreek Hill (injury) and Stefon Diggs (off field) because of the red flags attached to them heading into their age-33 season.
Romeo Doubs: San Francisco 49ers

Jauan Jennings is departing in NFL free agency and Brandon Aiyuk is headed for an exit, so the San Francisco 49ers need to find some pass-catching help for Kyle Shanahan’s offense. Romeo Doubs isn’t flashy, but he is a very good route-runner who can make contested catches and is also comfortable working in the middle of the field. An added benefit that Shanahan will love: Doubs is a willing and engaged blocker in the run game. Doubs returns home to California, taking on the No. 2 receiver role in the 49ers offense and remaining one of the more underrated receivers in the NFC.

Rashid Shaheed: Las Vegas Raiders

Rashid Shaheed has now operated in Klint Kubiak’s system with two different clubs, and we think that will happen for a third time after NFL free agency. While Shaheed did not put up great receiving numbers after being traded to the Seattle Seahawks—188 receiving yards in nine games—he performed like an All-Pro returner. Kubiak will also want a pass-catcher who knows his system, especially someone who can also stretch the field to provide Fernando Mendoza with a deep target. It might cost the Las Vegas Raiders in the ballpark of $15 to $17 million per season, but what Shaheed brings to the offense and special teams will make it worthwhile for Kubiak.
Wan’Dale Robinson: Washington Commanders

The Washington Commanders need to do more ahead of the 2026 NFL season to make this a more quarterback-friendly offense for Jayden Daniels. One way to accomplish that is by adding a slot receiver who excels at creating early separation and could even make some plays downfield. Wan’Dale Robinson checks both boxes. He led the NFL in slot snaps (543) this past season and ranked 19th in targets 20-plus yards downfield (21), per PlayerProfiler.com. At only 25 years old, this would also be a long-term investment by the Commanders front office into creating a more well-rounded receiving corps for the franchise quarterback.

Mike Evans: Tampa Bay Buccaneers

While we do think that Mike Evans explores his options in NFL free agency, it is hard to envision a scenario where he actually leaves the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The future Hall of Famer has created a list of requirements he is looking for in his next team, which will really limit his options if he sticks to it. It is incredibly rare for one of the best players at his position during his era to spend the entirety of his NFL career with the same franchise. The rapport Evans has with Baker Mayfield and the Buccaneers’ chances of at least contending in the NFC lead us to believe he ultimately re-signs with the club.
Jauan Jennings: Seattle Seahawks

The reigning Super Bowl champions are presumably losing both Kenneth Walker and Rashid Shaheed in NFL free agency. That creates room to spend on another offensive weapon. While first-year Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator Brian Fleury coached tight ends with the San Francisco 49ers, he saw first-hand how effective Jauan Jennings can be in a great offense. The 6-foot-3 receiver would also have the benefit of operating in a passing game where so much of the defense’s focus is on Jaxon Smith-Njigba. Staying in the NFC West, Jennings gets paid and lands in a situation where he could put up excellent numbers while contending for a Super Bowl.
Alec Pierce: Tennessee Titans

There is going to be an intense bidding war for Alec Pierce, since he is the top wide receiver in NFL free agency. It is one we believe the Tennessee Titans will come out on top of. Brian Daboll wants to find a great field-stretcher for quarterback Cam Ward, and Alec Pierce is better than anyone right now at taking the top off a defense. Pierce’s presence will open up everything underneath in the Titans offense, and once the connection with Ward is firing on all cylinders, it will even help the Tennessee rushing attack. The cost might approach $30 million per season, but this should be viewed as a massive investment into Ward. Plus, it allows Tennessee to devote its draft capital to filling out Robert Saleh’s defense.
