The New York Giants‘ quarterback room will look drastically different in 2025 than it looked in 2024. Daniel Jones and Drew Lock have signed with other teams, and they’ve been replaced by Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston.

Their Giants’ QB room’s floor and ceiling have undoubtedly been raised for one season, but what about the future, past 2026 when Winston’s contract will be expired? That’s what the 2025 NFL Draft is for.

The New York Giants have the third overall pick in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft, which could be used on a quarterback. Yet, with two solid veteran options on board, the Giants’ need for an immediate starter has been drastically reduced.

However, they’ve still done a ton of homework on the 2025 QB class, and according to The Athletic’s college football insider Bruce Feldman, the Giants “love” Miami Hurricanes quarterback Cam Ward.

“I’ve heard since bowl season from folks inside the Miami program that the New York Giants love Ward, but the Titans have a big need too and won’t pass on the 2024 ACC player of the year.”

Expected to be the first overall pick by the Tennessee Titans, odds are, the Giants won’t get a chance at landing Ward. However, the Titans still appear open to trading out of the top draft slot, so if the Giants are truly enamored with Ward, they might still be able to get him.
