World No. 3 golfer Jon Rahm became a first-time father this weekend, meaning he should be on hand Thursday when play starts at the Masters Tournament in Augusta, Ga.

“Without a doubt, the greatest day of my life,” Rahm said in an Instagram post on Sunday morning announcing that his wife, Kelley, had given birth to a boy.

On March 23, Rahm warned bettors that he would leave Augusta National if Kelley went into labor. But with the baby safely delivered on Saturday, Rahm should be at Augusta in search of his first major win.

The 26-year-old Spaniard shared a photo of the new family on Instagram, writing, “Kepa Cahill Rahm, was born 4/3/21 at 12:15am. Momma Kelley is doing great and recovering. Kepa is also in great health. He is 7.2 lb and 20.5inch, big boy from the Basque Country.”

On Sunday, DraftKings listed Rahm among the betting favorites.

World No. 1 Dustin Johnson topped the list at +800, followed by Bryson DeChambeau at +900. Rahm is in a group at +1100 with World No. 2 Justin Thomas and a resurgent Jordan Spieth.

FanDuel listed Rahm at +1300, behind Johnson (+900), DeChambeau (+1000), and Thomas and Spieth (+1100).

Rahm finished in a tie for seventh at the rescheduled Masters in November. Johnson is the defending champion.
