Brooklyn Nets star forward Kevin Durant will be sidelined at least two more weeks as he continues his rehabilitation from an MCL injury in his right knee, the team announced Tuesday.

Durant’s right MCL sprain was re-evaluated on Monday by Dr. Riley Williams III at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York. Williams was “very pleased with Durant’s recovery thus far, as he is progressing well and as expected,” the Nets said.

Per the team, Durant will start running again and participate in on-court basketball activities this week.

Durant, 34, sustained the injury in Brooklyn’s 102-101 win over Miami on Jan. 8 after Heat swingman Jimmy Butler accidentally fell into his knee.

A 12-time All-Star and the 2014 NBA MVP, Durant is averaging 29.7 points, 6.7 rebounds, 5.3 assists and 1.5 blocks in 39 games (all starts) this season.
