The long-awaited return of Stephen Curry to the lineup is about to come to fruition. After having missed the past 10 games with a groin injury, Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr told reporters on Wednesday that Curry will return to action Saturday against the Detroit Pistons.

This couldn’t come at a better time for the defending champs. Golden State boasts a 5-5 record in the 10 games Curry has missed. That included a four-game losing streak and tension between stars Kevin Durant and Draymond Green.

Curry, 30, got off to a great start prior to suffering said injury. He’s averaging 29.5 points on 52 percent shooting, including a 49 percent mark from distance.

Unfortunately, Curry will not be in uniform when Golden State takes on the Toronto Raptors on Thursday. That would have been something to watch.
