Stephen Curry put on a show during the Golden State Warriors Game 7 win against the Sacramento Kings, and it seems that much of the NBA audience had tuned in.

All eyes of the NBA world were on the Golden State Warriors Sunday clash with the Sacramento Kings. As the defending champions were on the brink of a shocking first-round ouster just days after blowing an opportunity to win the series at home in Game 6.

As much as fans enjoy seeing dynasties rise, they also love seeing them fall and Game 7 had that possibility. However, it also had other fascinating elements like a young Sacramento Kings team trying to stamp their place on the sport after a shockingly good season. It might have been Draymond Green’s last game with the only team he ever played for.

But also, fans wanted to see if the veteran-rich team could dig down and pull out a win on the road. A play they have underperformed badly this season.

Well, with their backs against the wall, the Golden State Warriors’ greatest player of all time, Stephen Curry, showed his legendary talent with a 50-point near-triple-double performance during their victory that will go down in history as one of the greatest Game 7 displays of all time.

It was a moment that needed to be seen, and it looks like many NBA fans watched on Sunday to see Curry at the height of his power. On Tuesday, ESPN revealed that Game 7 of the Golden State Warriors vs. the Sacramento Kings averaged just under 10 million viewers (9.835). “Making it the most-watched NBA Playoffs first round game in 24 years (since 1999), according to Nielsen.”

The game was also the most-watched non-Finals NBA postseason clash in the history of ABC and the most-watched program of the day for April 30 across all of television and in all key demographics.

Overall, the first round of the 2023 NBA playoffs was the most-watched ever on Disney platforms (ABC and ESPN). Across 15 games, the first round averaged 4,522,000 viewers, up 18 percent from last year.
