The San Antonio Spurs are widely expected to be one of the most active teams this summer, with the club already linked in NBA rumors to various free-agent targets, draft strategies and trade options. Unsurprisingly, there is a lot of competition for some of the Spurs’ targets.
San Antonio’s first priority is the 2024 NBA Draft, with the front office actively attempting to trade up for the No. 1 overall pick. Whether the Spurs are successful in moving up or making their original selections (4th and 8th overall picks), the Spurs roster will be upgraded in other ways.

According to Chris Haynes of Bleacher Report, forward Tobias Harris is expected to draw interest in NBA free agency from the Spurs, Detroit Pistons, Utah Jazz, New Orleans Pelicans and Dallas Mavericks.
Ian Begley of SNY backs up the report, highlighting the Mavericks and Jazz are two teams to keep a close eye on for Harris. As for the Philadelphia 76ers, a return is unlikely for Harris.

Harris, who turns 32 years old in July, is likely to receive a contract length of up to four years. A New York native, Harris has already played for five NBA teams during his career. He would likely only be a viable option for the Mavericks if they are able to trade Tim Hardaawy Jr. and get his contract off the books.
