Contemporary Christian singer Natalie Grant has wowed audiences with her amazing vocals since her debut album all the way back in 1997.
A native of the Pacific Northwest, the 50-year-old Grant had an opportunity to display that range during the national anthem ahead of the Georgia-Alabama College Football Championship Game Monday evening in Indianapolis.
She did not disappoint in any way. In fact, an objective ear can conclude that Natalie Grant wowed with one of the better national anthems we’ve seen on a sports stage in years. The range. The vocals. Everything was spot on.
That’s one way to get this huge SEC battle for the college football title going. Grant didn’t try to change anything. She went traditional and showed some absolutely amazing range. There was some Carrie Underwood mixed in with Whitney Houston. That’s not hyperbole. Chills!
There’s a reason she’s a nine-time Grammy nominee. Those watching agreed.
