The NASCAR Truck Series will see a new lap-by-lap announcer after Vince Welch announced his departure from FOX Sports before the 2023 season. Although it is unfortunate to see Welch leave the booth, his reported replacement will bring just as much excitement.

According to Motorsport.com’s Jim Utter, Adam Alexander will take on the same role he currently has in the NASCAR Xfinity Series and become the new lap-by-lap announcer for the Truck Series.

Alexander, 49, is a superstar within the FOX Sports family and has become a fan favorite by those who watch the Xfinity Series events and NASCAR Race Hub throughout the week during the season.

The NASCAR Truck Series will reportedly have a new voice as the majority of the series undergoes significant changes from the booth, all the way to where drivers will be competing this season.

There have been many major changes across the board, including Kyle Busch Motorsports moving to Chevrolet, ThorSport Racing moving back to Ford, and TRICON Garage, formerly David Gilliland Racing, moving back to Toyota.

This doesn’t even include Hailie Deegan joining ThorSport Racing, Corey Heim joining TRICON Garage, Chase Purdy joining Kyle Busch Motorsports, and Christian Eckes joining McAnally–Hilgemann Racing.

NASCAR has gone through many insane silly seasons; however, the Truck Series has claimed the most exciting one to date. There are still moves coming and Alexander is the perfect commentator to usher a new era of the series.

Moving back to FOX Sports, there will be a returning format for the NASCAR Cup Series. Mike Joy and Clint Bowyer will return while the network is expected to rotate its third position for the 2023 season.

This is what FOX Sports performed during the 2022 season after Jeff Gordon left the booth for a bigger role at Hendrick Motorsports. It remains to be seen who will be a part of the rotation this year.

With the 2023 season coming closer, the unknowns regarding FOX Sports’ booths throughout NASCAR will be revealed. The stage appears set for another successful season.
