PNC Park might be the best stadium in MLB, offering incredible views from every seat in the house and an opportunity for baseball fans to take a walk by the Allegheny River before the game.
In advance of your trip to PNC Park, here’s everything you need to know about the stadium.
The Pittsburgh Pirates play at PNC Park.
PNC Park is located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The address of the stadium is 115 Federal St, Pittsburgh, PA, 15212.
Gates will open ninety minutes before all games. The Home Plate Club will open two hours before game time. We advise getting to the stadium early, given that there will be fans there tailgating, giving you enough time to find parking, get through security, find your seat, and grab some food. If you arrive early enough, you might be able to catch batting practice and meet some of the players.
The Sports and Exhibition Authority of Pittsburgh and Allegheny County owns PNC Park.
PNC Park officially opened on March 31, 2001.
PNC Park has a seating capacity of approximately 38,747.
Tailgating is allowed in surface lots near PNC Park, such as Red Lot 6 and Gold Lot 1, but not in parking garages.
Parking near PNC Park generally costs around $20, with premium lots like Red Lot 6 going up to $35 on game days. Rates may vary depending on the opponent and day of the week. The best parking options around the stadium are the red lots, which sit behind third base and home plate.
PNC Park is entirely cashless. Credit cards, debit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay are accepted throughout the park.
Prices for suites at PNC Park typically range from three thousand to ten thousand dollars, depending on the suite you want. It is based on the number of people per room. The more people, the bigger the space, and the more money it will be.
Acrisure Stadium (formerly Heinz Field) is about a 5-minute walk across the Roberto Clemente Bridge from PNC Park.
