Major League Baseball on Friday revised its spring training schedule, which starts on Feb. 28 with 28 of the 30 teams taking the field for Cactus and Grapefruit League games.

Cactus League Clubs in Arizona will play 28 games across 30 days (Feb. 28-March 29) with two off days, while Florida’s Grapefruit League teams will play a regionalized schedule to mitigate travel, all out of concerns for health and safety due to COVID-19.

Teams on Florida’s East Coast will play 24 games across the 30-day period with six off days, while clubs on the state’s West Coast will play 28 games across the 30 days with two universal off days.

All 30 teams will open the regular season on April 1, marking the fourth straight year all teams have been scheduled to play on a traditional Opening Day.
